There's a popular saying that says "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy"
I like playing games especially quality games. As productive as we might like to be, there are times we just need to take time out to have some fun or relieve the brain of its tasking activities and that is why games are created for smartphones.
Below is a list of excellent games for your smartphones.

#Infinity Blade 3
You are probably wondering why this one isn't listed with other games below. Its because its super good. Only available on iPhone, iPod and iPad. Its one of the reasons i will keep buying Apple devices. they have great apps.

1. Real Racing 3
This is one of the best racing games out there. It's free of charge and available to iPhone, iPad, iPod and Android devices. If you are a fan of racing games you will thank me for this, oh and of course, Asphalt 8 is a smashing beautiful racing game too.

2. FIFA 14
Honestly, I love playing soccer and these guys from EA just keep making soccer game on smartphone a sweet experience. This game is free to download and available on both Apple and Android devices.

How many logos in the world do you know? CNN? If you think you know enough logos then try this game out. In fact, how many logos in this image below do you know their names? Maybe just Shell

Leaked iOS 7 Features and Look

The wait to see what Apple have in store for us as regards the new iOS, new OS X, iPhone, iPad, iMac pro and iPod is almost over.
Today by 10am (Cupertino time) WWDC 2013 would kick off. This is what many have been waiting for and can't wait for it to start.

Highlight of the program of event is the unveiling of the next version of the mobile operating software iOS 7, followed by OS X and iRadio.

Talking of iOS 7, which is where the excitement is, John Ive, who is the chief developer and architect of the iOS 7 would be on the spotlight due to the radical change that he's implementing from iOS 6 to iOS 7.

Already a mockup of iOS 7 was made by the guys at 9to5mac after they had a sneak peek into the beta version of iOS 7.

According to this image, somethings can be deduced even though we are sure that this mockup doesn't even represent 30% look alike of the original thing.

First, we are now very sure that a flat UI is to be expected.

Second, colours would be rich and abundant in iOS 7.

Finally, familiar icons like Game centre would have a new icon.

As far as speculations go, it will end soon when WWDC starts an we can begin to see the main thing.

As usual, we shall keep you posted on all things going down at the WWDC 2013. So stay tuned to this page.

What do you think about this iOS 7 mockup image?

Samsung wins case and Apple lost

Battles are fought everyday in this present age and Apple vs Samsung is one of those battles that go way back and seems like it will never end.
While Apple is always in the attack and Samsung in the defense and the court is the middle ground where all the decisions are made.

Recently Apple filed a suit against Samsung stating that Samsung 10.1 inch tablet was an infringement and copy of the iPad's design.  Therefore Apple requested that the device be banned.

Yesterday in a Dutch appeal court Samsung was handed a victory verdict nullifying Apple's claims that Samsung copied and infringed on patents regarding the iPad's design.

The Dutch court ruled that Samsung had not infringed on Apple's rounded corners patent of the iPad. The judge noted that Apple's iPad isn't the first tablet with a rectangular shape with rounded corners and therefore doesn't have monopoly of such design.
He further noted that ”the  design of Samsung tablets differ enough from the iPad that an informed user could easily tell the difference.”

Samsung of course are thrilled with such ruling made on Friday as it would mean that the 10.1 inch tablet remains in stores and not banned as Apple was requesting.

One thing is sure,  Apple and Samsung court battles are not ending any time soon as it is now obvious that they are good enemies.

Teenager Dies Because of Apple iPad

Gadget theft has become an issue in recent times and smartphones are not left out, especially Apple smartphones and tablets.

Although, its understandable to resist and fight back when someone tries to steal our belongings but most times, we learn to let go if the thief prove too keen and powerful. Not letting go can be very harmful and dangerous in some cities like New York, California, Pretoria, Lagos and Las Vegas.

On Thursday afternoon, a 15yr old boy lost his life in Las Vegas while trying to resist a thief trying to snatch his iPad from his hand.

The boy by the name Marcos Vincent Arenas was walking down the street holding an iPad when a white Ford Explorer SUV pulled towards the boy. Someone came down from the passenger seat and tried to yank the iPad from Marcos.
Marcos resisted and held firm to his device, since the man couldn't get it off at first try, he pulled the teenager towards the vehicle with his iPad and took off but Marcos still didn't let go of the precious iPad. In the process, the young boy was drag along with the vehicle on the ground and run over.

Marcus was pronounced dead in the hospital due to the serious injuries he sustained.
Police investigations are on-going however, a little boy lost his live.

Apple devices are very pricey and as such owners of Apple devices are targeted by thieves.
In New York alone, iPhone and iPad thefts account for 14% of crimes committed in 2012, 35% in Pretoria and no less than 20% in some other areas like California, San Francisco etc.

There seem to be a huge market for stolen phones and the only way to stop this menace is for someone or company come up with an ingenious way of not allowing these gadget thefts from profiting from a stolen device. Until then, gadget thefts will be on the increase

The lesson in  this development is for one to keep expensive gadgets like Apple iPads, iPhones etc out of sight in public or less secured places especially in cities that have high crime rate

Best Stylus Pen for Your iPad

Stylus is that unconventional pen that is used on PDAs back in the days. Its unconvetional because it doesn't use any kind of ink. It started out as a pointing and selecting device but has now evolved more into a writing tool on touch-screen enabled devices, more like the traditional pen we use on our paper.

Although, stylus pen became old fashioned and wasn't used largely anymore, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 made the stylus a desirable accessories for smartphones and tablets, making stylus a bit of a come back accessory in the tech industry.

Well, stylus can be used on Apple iPad too. It is no news that Apple devices have the largest set of accessories from solar powered chargers, to remote door control etc., However, the challenge is getting a very good stylus pen that will work seamlessly as intended. Hence, the reason for this post is to list a  good number of stylus pens available for iPad users

1. Wacom Bamboo Stylus

2.  Kesington Virtuoso Stylus
3. Kuel H10

4.  Adonit Jot Pro ( my favorite)

Depending on what you want to achieve with the stylus pen, you would find these above - listed stylus useful.

What stylus pen do you fancy? drop a comment and lets us know.

Beware of These 5 Fake Jailbreak Tools

One of the most anticipated tool is that tool that is supposed to jailbreak the iOS 6.1 untethered on all Apple devices.
Contrary to the popular ones we have always had from Chronic Dev-team, this one is coming from the Evad3rs team and the name of the tool is Evasi0n which will be released on Sunday.

However, people could be easily fooled with fake jailbreak tools that promises to jailbreak all iDevices on iOS 6.1 untethered. these fake tools are listed below and you are advised NOT to use them or PAY for any of them as they can render your device unusable or install spyware into your device.
Most importantly, wait patiently for the legitimate jailbreak tool. It is usually free and very stable and legit.

Fake Jailbreak Tools
1. Gull1hack & Blacksn0w V2
These tools by the Gull1hack team have been declared fake by the iPhone Dev-team. The tools was supposedly to jailbreak iPhone and iPod touch devices on the new bootrom untethered.

2. FastRa1n0.5
This particular one says it can jailbreak iOS 5 and later untethered and even charge a whooping $24.99 for it. As far confirmation goes, @comex have said that it is fake and does not work. Consequently, it is fake. Stay away from it.

3. Ghost App
This is yet another jailbreaking tool that promises to jailbreak untethered iOS 5 on all iPhone 3G/3GS/4/4S for $24.99 also. It doesn't even have a demo to try out its functions.
Just like FastRa1n0.5 above, it's not legit, its a fake. Stay away from it

4. Jailbreak
This is got me laughing. It is sold for $9.99 and does nothing. It even featured in the Apple app store at a time ( still wondering how Apple allowed a jailbreak tool in the store anyway). Anyways, it was removed from the store when Apple and Dev-Team found out it was a fake tool.

Unlock iPhone 4S
This tool claim to unlock iPhone 4S on any baseband and also jailbreak untethered. On their website, declaration was made that refund will be made if jailbreak and unlock was unsuccessful. However, no real testimony that it has worked.
The best way to confirm a tool is working is to go to various fora. Here you will hear people are saying about a particular app

THESE ARE LEGITIMATE JAILBREAKING TOOLS
These tools below don't need introduction as they are the most popular legitimate free jailbreaking tool available.

1. Redsn0w
2. Absinthe
3. Sn0wbreeze
4. Evasi0n (particularly for iOS 6.1)

Evasi0n is the most recent of them all which will be released on Sunday 3rd of Feb. 2013 for public download. Created by the evad3rs team (pimskes, pod2j, musclenerd etc).

If you want more news for evasi0n click here
mind you, http://evasi0ndownload.blogspot.com/# seem to be a copy of the original webpage. Don't download from it. The font used and a declaration of a download looks fishy.
