New App "PEEK" Conducts Diagnostic Eye Test Using Your Phone

It is amazing what our smartphones are capable off. Apart from the fact that they can be distractions to our daily lives with the numerous games, social media apps, they can also be a blessing to numerous people around the world.

PEEK – a smart-phone based system for comprehensive eye examinations in even the remotest of settings. It is easy to use, affordable and portable.

This application is a full eye test centre on your phone. In the comfort of your space, you can do an eye test. This is especially useful in areas where eye test centres are not within reach or even expensive to use.

Samsung Sends Out BBM Download Notification To Customers

BBM for Android is one of the hottest topic in the past few weeks. BBM is still one of the best and of course, oldest messaging service for smartphone.  Therefore it's only natural for this much of anticipation to be seen within smartphone users. 

Samsung,  today announced to its customers that BBM for Android would be available for download on its store; Samsung App Store very soon.

By now, we all know that bringing BBM to Android and iOS is a risk which may end Blackberry's grip on the African market and other markets. However, all we can do is speculate until the BBM app finally gets released and used.

Samsung, always wanting to dominate have released a press statement for its customer as seen below, using Africa as a keyword.

5th August, 2013 – Today, Samsung has announced that the upcoming BBM™ app will be available in the Google Play and the Samsung App store soon and available to all Samsung GALAXY smartphone consumers across Africa.

BBM will form part of Samsung Messaging Hub as a complementary addition to the current slate of propriety and third party messaging services that Samsung customers enjoy – all aimed at empowering consumers to connect with each other in better ways using text messaging. Offering BBM on GALAXY smartphones in Africa will give Samsung customers access to the BBM social network, including BBM chats, multi-person chats and and BBM Groups, which allows BBM customers to create groups of up to 30 people, as well as the ability to share photos and voice notes.

Official WWDC 2013 iOS app Ready for Download

Apple today launched her official application for the 2013 Worldwide Developer's Conference scheduled for Monday 10th 2013 which is just few days away.

As in tradition, official WWDC app are released a week to the conference with schedule for all activities that would take place at the conference .

The app is not an update of the 2012 version but a new one completely with a new video integration feature.
The application is available free of charge and available for the iPhone and iPad.
Video sessions from the conference will be available daily to stream for registered developers.

Furthermore, previous WWDC content can also be watched.

Head over to the Apple app store to get your download.  Type WWDC in the search bar and download the 4.5mb app so that you can be abreast with all information that would be released.  It requires iOS 6.1 or later.
