Facebook Is About To Mess Up Instagram

Instagram was acquired by Facebook 17 months ago and although some were skeptical on what will come of the image sharing social platform. Most believe that Facebook will come with their advertising tactics to use the platform to generate income and it seem as though its about to really happen.

Facebook is now talking of how they will mess up Instagram with ads. Yes, Facebook is now making move to start rolling out ads on the Instagram platform.

Speaking to The Wall Street Journal this weekend, Instagram’s director of business operations Emily White talked about how Instagram was setting itself up to monetize. They company just announced that they had 150 million users, yet up until now, there’s still not a single ad in sight. But they’re coming.
As director of business operations, the 35-year-old Ms. White effectively is the new chief operating officer of Instagram, the point person charged with turning a billion-dollar acquisition that has never made a cent into a real business. Mr. Systrom, co-founder of Instagram, still makes the ultimate decisions, but it is Ms. White who is responsible for courting brand marketers and laying the foundation for advertising.
There are no ads on Instagram, but Ms. White said it should be ready to begin selling ads within the next year.
So you’ve got a year until Facebook ruins Instagram. Good to know. I realize ads are a depressing necessity of monetizing free Internet services, but Facebook’s approach to advertising is more egregious than most companies. And just think, they haven’t even started selling your Instagram data yet!

How To Answer Any Call By Gliding Your Hand Like Galaxy S4

Samsung Galaxy S4 is still one of  the best smartphones ever. One of the reasons its so nice is because of the multitude of features this device has. One of them is air gesture which allows you to control your device just by swiping your hand over.

This gesture is also used in accepting calls hand ending calls. Imagine you don't want to touch your phone when a call comes in, you just glide your hand over the phone and boom, the call is accepted.

Well, someone has been able to produce an app that will make virtually all Android users to be able to have the air glide features on their smartphone to accept incoming calls.

This app, by the name, Air Call-Accept, makes use of the proximity sensor located close to the front speaker of the device. Once a call comes in and you glide your hand over just as you would do for the S4, the call is automatically accepted. SO having a proximity sensor with your phone or tablet is the catch that makes the app work and almost all smartphones is got a proximity sensor.

This app has a free version and a pro version. The pro version gives you ability to do even more things.

Head over to the Google Play store to download Air Call-Accept or click here to go directly to download page.

Apple App Store offers More Useful apps Than Google Play Store apps

Apple App Store offers more useful apps Than Google Play Store and the reason isn't far fetched.

While we live in an age where software and applications have become more relevant than ever, any smartphone maker that do not have a huge application base in its app store is doomed and would suffer in sales of its devices, this is especially glaring with BlackBerry and Windows Phone devices.

That being said, having huge applications present in the app store isn't only the factor that determines the high adoption of a mobile operating system.
What is the point of having over one million apps and 70% are not really useful to mankind? Definitely no point and this why having the largest application in the store is not enough.

Considering Google Play Store and Apple App Store boasting of almost a million apps each in its app store, there's nothing that can't be installed on an Android & iOS device thereby making devices running these Operating Systems more powerful yet, a lot of folks tend to favor iOS devices more that Android devices.
Of  course this is not only because of the build and quality of Apple hardware but also because there are more quality apps in the Apple app store compared to the Google Play store.  Not only that, very high productivity apps are present and while some might be present for the Android platform, they are not as robust as the iOS version.

For example,  there are more highly sophisticated medical,  musical, gaming and educational apps in the Apple app store compared to Google play store.
Apparently there are also a good number of apps on the android platform that are not available for the iOS platform, but the usefulness and quality of these apps are questionable; the converse however is all green.
Going by the popularity and how developed the Android operating system have become over the years, it should be easy for apps developers to mirror the same applications on iOS platforms but this however not the case given the reason below.

Android is really fragmented and that is a huge problem.

Less than 20% android devices are not running the latest version. Majority are on earlier versions like gingerbread and the hardware on the devices are of old technology thereby drastically reducing the number of people/devices that can benefit from high quality applications the require powerful and latest technology hardwares.
Google needs to fix this and make sure that more people get the latest Android version on their devices and of course making sure that vendors improve on hardware specifications like Samsung, HTC and Motorola are doing.

As said in the opening statement, until Google tackles it's issues, Apple app store would continue to have more high quality apps in its store and of course more people and developers will automatically favour iOS over Android.

These are however my opinions and you are more then welcomed to share yours and put in your argument if you object.

How To Share Apps Downloaded From Google Play Store

You can now share apps you downloaded to your device directly from Google Play Store.
Naturally, when apps are downloaded from the Play Store and it is installed to a device, it is almost impossible to know where the installation file is saved and it is not possible to share the app like you would share normal apps with the normal .apk extension.

The purpose of this guide is to show how you can convert these directly downloaded apps to apk and share to other Android devices.

Procedures
1. Download MyAppSharer app and install to your device

2. Launch application and you will see all your installed apps.
3. Select the app you want to convert to apk by checking the box at the right hand side and wait for it to process.
4. Select APK  by tapping the circular icon and click Share.
5. Scroll left or right to view sharing options, either via email, Bluetooth etc.

All apps converted to APK can are saved to a folder called MyAppSharer which can be access from the File explorer app. This means that there is no need to always convert already or previously converted apps. Just go to the folder and you can send them as APK to anyone.

I hope this guide is of use to you. Drop a comment if you experience any difficulty in achieving your goal.

Must Have Apps For Blackberry Phones

Though the Blackberry device doesn't have as much apps in the App World compared to Apple App Store and the Google App store, yet there are some great applications that are worthy to be mentioned.
It's so annoying that if not all then most RIM devices do not give you the opportunity to capture screen or take screen shots.

Many smartphones already have that feature embedded in them except of course if one is to call Blackberry phones a semi smartphone; although that is about to change come January 30th.

In other for Blackberry phones users to take something as trivial as screen shots, an app have to be downloaded to make that happen.
One the most popular screen shot app used by a lot of Blackberry users is the Screen Muncher.
I used it once and I didn't like it at all.
I hate the crunching sound it makes and the watermark it places on the image with reduced image quality.
Consequently, I decided to look more into similar apps that are silent, doesn't include watermark and gets the job done excellently. This makes me discover a lot of must have apps for Blackberry users even in the App World.
Have made a list below for you to know them and give them a try.

1. Screen Shot Capture Pro
This little app 78.6kb in size does exactly what it's suppose to do. It captures the screen without any irritating sound or watermark. It just captures your screen and save it a folder called Screenshot. The image quality is high and not reduced at all as you can see from the image below.

2. Contacts To Excel
This application gives away its function just by its name.
It exports all your contacts to excel format and make a back of them for you. this way you can view and transfer your contacts freely even to another Blackberry device  or smartphone if so please. This is particularly of use to those that don't have Blackberry Protect to help backup their contacts.

3. Social Lock
This should interest a lot of people. Have you ever wished to lock your BBM without locking your phone altogether in other to reduce access to your bbm messages? Then this app is for you. This little app help you create a lock for all your social applications like Twitter, Facebook and of course Blackberry Messenger.
Once installed, your social apps can be configured with a lock code.
Chat Lock: Lock for BBM does the same thing and also very useful.

4. Pattern Lock For Blackberry
I know some of you peeps would have at one time envied the Android device users due to the way they unlock their phones with pattern unlocking methods.

Well, owners of touch screen Blackberry devices can benefit from this kind of unlocking method.
All you have to do is download this application and you are good to go.

5. Fancy Fonts Free
Wish to spice up the way the fonts of your text look a little bit? then this app is for you. It allows you to install fonts into your device text look beautiful and nice.
